Scent Authority

A designation for institutions, organizations, and research bodies that provide the scientific and technical foundation for the Oregon Scent Trail. Scent-Authorities manage the taxonomic records, chemical analyses, and conservation protocols that allow us to verify the “Scent-Print” of a region. They represent the intellectual rigor required to document volatile biological data. A scent authority can also be an expert in scent related training.
